Getting Started

Each accredited member of the Professional Valuers Association has earned a professional designation in property valuation. PVA members are qualified, credible, experienced and highly respected professionals in the industry.
The two membership categories are:

• Member

• Affiliate Member

In terms its Constitution, the PVA makes provision for the recognition of Affiliate organisations and membership under prescribed conditions.

In order to be accepted as a Member of the Professional Valuers Association, the applicant must satisfy the following criteria:

• Recognised National Diploma, University degree or equivalent
• Registered with the SA Council for the Property Valuers Profession as Professional/Associated Professional Valuer
• A minimum of five (5) years full time valuation experience
• Submit an application on the prescribed form and submit to an interview at their local Chapter.
• Submit to an interview and background checks if deemed necessary
• Submit past reports for evaluation if required
• Provide personal and professional references
• All applicants must be of impeccable reputation.
